MUHAMMAD ALI (1942- )

Ganador de la Medalla de Oro en 1960 y tres veces Campeón de los pesos pesados, Ali fue un gran boxeador que nació el 17 de Enero de 1942 como Cassius Marcellus Clay, su nombre original, que después de convertirse al Islam, cambió por el de Muhammad Ali.

Elvis y Ali eran buenos amigos. Una vez Elvis le regaló un albornoz valorado en 10.000 $ con el nombre de Ali y la frase: The People's Champion. Ali lo uso en el combate contra Ken Norton, en 1973, donde resultó vencido. Ali pensó que el albornoz le había dado mala suerte y nunca más la usó. A pesar de esa anécdota, Elvis y Ali continuaron su amistad.

Desgraciadamente, Ali padece hoy la enfermedad de Parkinson, aunque se le sigue recordando: su hija es boxeadora y Will Smith ha protagonizado una película basada en su vida.

Elvis and Ali were good friends. Once Elvis gave him a robe valued for 10.000 $ with Ali's name and the phrase: The People's Champion. Ali weared it in the combat against Ken Norton, in 1973, where he lost the combat. Ali thought that the robe had given him bad luck and he nevermore used it. Despite of this anecdote, Elvis and Ali continued their friendship.

Unfortunately, Ali endures today Parkinson's disease, though he continues being remembered: her daughter is a boxer and Will Smith has starred in a movie based on his life.
